Whether educated or illiterate, poor or rich, married or unmarried all are striving for enrichment of our lives. Our pursuit of a better and happier life leads us to reading self-development books, attend various spiritual classes, do yoga and the like. Yes, self-development books and spiritual discourses will impart plethora of life-centric teachings. However, how many of us honestly practice them? We very often find us telling ourselves, “Let me start tomorrow”. This tomorrow will never come! Rather than having ten to-dos on the list and being unable to decide where and how to start, let us practice one basic thing to enrich our lives and that is DISCIPLINE! In today’s fast-paced world a lot of tasks can be done at the click of a button, yet we feel 24 hours is insufficient for our day-to-day activities. A little more discipline in life will take us to the gates of a ‘successful and happy life’.
Discipline is all we need to have a smooth life. We should take control of our lives by disciplining our body and mind. An individual who is disciplined from within will lead life as per his mind and social rules rather than paying much heed to peer pressure or botheration to unwarranted worldly demands. There will be times when discipline may warrant us to do things that are extremely challenging. That’s when we need to keep our focus on the end result and remind ourselves that whatever we are doing through the aid of discipline will only facilitate us to accomplish our goal. An individual’s life is just a miniscule period (when compared to the existence of the universe) consisting of around 7 to 8 decades.
